Does Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 Quick Charge The Samsung Galaxy Note8?The Battery Pack Im Using Is The Anker PowerCore+ 10050. Also, Ive Been Using This Battery Pack for a While, And I Have Noticed that the port for charging it, my Anker micro usb cable for charging it is very loose, is there any way to fix this?
Anker PowerCore+ 10050mAh
Samsung didn’t incorporate Qualcoms quick charge chip into the note 8, but rather it uses its own adaptive fast charger which provides for a similar faster charging experience. After the note 7 fiasco samsung played it safe by going this route. As far as the batterypack fast charging your phone, you would see the fastest charge utilizing power IQ with voltage boost over quick charge.
Now you mentioned your micro usb port or cable is loose, that’s an inherent flaw with this sort of cable as they get bent slighy or the spring prongs lose their springiness and never hold proper in the port. To remedy this you can buy a replacement cable, avoid bending or stressing the end that plugs into your phone. Also it would be worth looking at the port on your phone to make sure it’s not damaged in any way
@elmo41683 The battery pack i use charges with micro usb, and my phone, The Galaxy Note 8, charges with usb Type-C, So i have to have 2 different cables
Sorry wasn’t paying attention, I would still replace the micro cable or buy one of the newer battery packs that have usb c output and input this way you just have 1 cable to carry
Im looking into other, newer battery packs, sadly the one i really want isn’t type-c
Which one is that?

Hi @Surge_Shock
Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention via the community. We appreciate the response from @elmo41683 which is really helpful.
Generally, we only recommend using Anker Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 portable charger to charge the Galaxy Note 8. The Quick Charge 2.0 version will not compatible with it.
As for the loose input charging port issue, could you please contact support@anker.com for an 18-month warranty claim?
Thanks for your support.
