Hello everyone, i’m here to ask for your help .
i have an Anker PowerPort + 5 USB C and an new Powerline+ USB C to USB 3.0
i have a 12" Macbook which needs 29W according to the Apple’s original wall charger
-When i use this new combo i just bought . the PowerPort+ seems to be providing only 12W , as i can check in the System Report > Power > AC Charger Information
i realize this after a period of time using my macbook at 100% and it goes down to 90% and it has more than 10hr of charging time until full-But when i use the PowerPort+ and the original Apple C to C cable
it wll provide 30W to my macbook and the charging goes back to normal again
(picture below )
I have a lot of questions:
- is the PowerPort+ only provide 12W through 4 USB A ports ?
- or the new Anker USB-A to USB-C only handle 12W ?
what should i do ?
Option A : change for a new PowerPort ? that can provide enough W through USB-A port ( about 29W that my macbook needs ?)
Option B : change for a new C to C Anker cable ? can Anker C to C cable handle 30W ??
Option C : if Anker USB-A to C cable can handle 30W is true then i can replace for a new one right ?
please help me . Thank you !
