I don’t think it’s really a special technology, rather Anker’s branding for it. PowerIQ is just basically switching amperage based on what the device can take. Almost every high powered USB charger has something like it, basically a safety feature. Some devices are designed to take a max 1A charge current, so if a high powered (2.4A) charger couldn’t reduce its output to match the maximum input of the device it would be super dangerous, since the battery could explode or the charging circuitry damaged permanently. So basically what most of these “technologies” are just mandatory safety precautions that have been given a fancy name.
Sure they might have trademarked the name or something, but like AiPower and all these other technologies, it’s pretty much the same thing. A charger may not have any of these fancy names but still do the same thing.
