Anker 20100 only charging for 1-2 minutes increment

I just purchased a Powercore 20100 and it seems to work in mysterious ways. It charges from the wall no problem, but when I try to charge my phone (Asus Zenphone IV max) or my earphones (Sony XB400) it only charges for 2 minutes. I press the button to show how much battery is left, it starts charging, but after 1 or 2 minutes, it doesn’t charge anymore.

I was wondering if it was a product compatibility issue or if there’s some “sleep” setting that triggers after a couple of minutes.

Thanks in advance!

This sounds like not just 1 issue but 3.

In combination it looks likely a dud 20100 but to get a fast warranty outcome you should eliminate the usual most common other faults.

Your phone not charging could be a dud USB cable, try a different cable. Cables fail more often than Powercore.

Your buds not charging could also be bad cable but also buds when nearly charged take so little chare it triggers the Powercore to turn off. Later newer Powercore solves this with a trickle charge function, so you just have to keep pressing the power button, or accept your buds are nearly full anyway.

Try different cables first, then emaul support@anker.com with your purchasing details, order, serial number and evidence you tried different cable.
