Sweet deal.
Why do we need to pay more for Powerline III / III+ exactly? Same performance, bending tolerance is doubled / tripled, but 12000 bends typically, used twice a day, so 4 bends a day, 12000 = 8 years.
I have these, using it right now. Working fine, seem to transmit power well enough (but I am traveling, no USB meter so guessing).
I’m saying this is a good price, and a good enough product, so why pay extra for the Powerline III or III+ ?
I’m looking at the different specs and the product in my hand and struggling with the value proposition for anyone to buy other than this cable.

If you need something with 100w capacity, you need a cable to support that. But they have that in both lines at some level, and it isn’t a universal feature of the III or anything. You are correct that the value is lacking otherwise.
I am tired of USB-C cables that aren’t high speed capable. There is no obvious way to tell on the cable itself, and it drives me crazy to accidentally use the wrong one on an external hard drive. At least the USB-A ends made it obvious whether you were dealing with 2 or 3.
