Anker 10000 Slim PD and Anker PowerPort PD 2 18W not working together

Hello guys,

My uncle brought me this awesome powerbank (Anker 10000 SLIM PD) from the US.

It’s the latest model, from what I could find.

In the beginning I was charging it with a usb cable USB-A -> USB-C (the USB-A was in the power outlet and the USB-C in the power bank) and it took forever to charge, probably around 9 hours, so I have decided to get my self a compatible Power Port, so I went on Amazon and sought something from Anker, just to be sure that it is compatible.

I acquired the PowerPort PD 2 18W since that’s the maximum input both my battery and iPhone can get.
Today, received the powerport and I was surprised, in a bad way, to notice that it doesn’t charge my battery. When I plug the cable(the one provided with the powerbank, from anker) in the PowerPort and then in the PowerBank, its charing leds blink 2 times and then they turn off, the battery not beint charged.

The battery itself cand charge my iPhone from both its ports USB-A and USB-C. Same goes for the PowerPort which can do the same to my iPhone from both its ports.

I read several posts and I tried connecting a cable from the PowerBanks’ USB-A port to its USB-C port but it still didn’t work.

At this point I don’t know what to do anymore, I am from Romania. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance,
Stefan

There was some charging incompatibility with certain chargers and battery packs, I’m not sure if this is one of them although seems like it. I would drop support@Anker.com a message and let them know what’s going on and see if they have a solution that works for you.

Oh, I’m unlucky then  I only bought a power adapter from Anker because I was scared of incompatibily… I guess you never escape what you fear… I sent them an email right after posting this here. But I thought I might get some feedback in the meantime.

The posts that I have read stated the the PowerPort PD 2 solved the issue that the first generation had… apparently not… (I bought the second generation by mistake, anyway).

Thank you!

Yeah I personally consider this particular battery bank faulty due to its various incompatibilities. It’s a really shame too, I absolutely love its form factor. I’m really hoping that Anker can continue to use this form factor in a model that works correctly.

I only bought it because of its form factor, the other one was too thick, this one is just great.
Maybe they’ll help me somehow.

Thank you guys!

Anker sure has a great community, glad to be a part of it.

Glad you like it! In addition to the community, anker has an amazing support team- it the pride of anker!

I’m sure they’ll be able to help you out!
