Going from iPhone to Android after 10 years with Apple.
Considered moving from iPad to Android but sticking with iPad.

Look at Chromebook for iPad replacement. If you’re happy with iPad then Android larger tablet will feel painful. If you’re happy with WiFi for other than your phone, the Chrome browser in a rugged design I find best of them all. The multitasking and window management is very good.
You can unlock a Chromebook without bricking it and run a full Linux for the few things ChromeOS can’t.
Chromebook is a halfway between iPad and Windows. The power efficiency of a tablet but with a decent keyboard and trackpad like a MacBook, Surface, Windows.
