A7515 Unspecified IEEE-1284 Controller in Devices and Printers

I plugged in an Anker USB 3.0 7-Port Data & Charging HUB into a pc running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and it drops into the Unspecified category of Devices and Printers as an unspecified IEEE-1284 Controller. Under properties, Windows is able to identify the device as a USB hub but Manufacturer, Model Number and Description are listed as Unavailable. With limited testing, the hub appears to be functional as it recognized a pair of flash drives.

Any thoughts on how to get Windows 7 to fully recognize this device?

Does it even matter? At any given time, you’d probably find that not all devices plugged into a PC are “fully recognized”, as you say. It doesn’t affect the functionality.
