Does the speaker play any sounds via the Aux cable, or is iTunes the only source that doesn’t play?
Have you successfully tried other sources via aux?
Usually you need to go to sound settings and choose the right output on pc especially when you have multiple output devices/ports.
OK, I got it working now. If you promise not to tell anyone else, I will whisper to you that I forgot that I had the VOLUME turned to zero on my computer !!! Thanks to everyone for their reasonable advice (which led to the solution when I used the aux input from my phone and it worked).

That’s awesome. I did the same thing trying to watch an iTunes movie the other night. It drove me nuts until figured out the sound was up on the speaker but turned down on the laptop.

Yes, those things happen.
I remember one day I could not connect my laptop to the Wifi.
What the hell things I tried. As Linux in those days was quite an unstable and very cryptic system, I really got mad. At last I found out that I touched somehow the Wifi-switch on the left side of the laptop accidentally. I had never seen this switch and was not knowing the existence. I never told this to anybody. 
I faced same problem with me when I try to play song from itunes it shows error 0xe8000015, and due to that I was unable to use the application.Please help me to fix the problem so that I can use the application in my system.
