2nd Gen Astro A1303 won't charge devices

Hi, I’ve got a 2nd Gen Astro A1303 powerbank. It can be charged ok, and lights up when moved, but will not charge any devices. Have tried many different leads, plus micro and C, and many devices. Have also tried the suggestion of looping output to input to reset, and no success. Any ideas?

Have you tried using brand new cables? Not old ones as they may have issues even if they work with other devices. Is the powerbank fully charged up? How old is the powerbank?

Did you check the socket?
Have you cleaned it?
Are all pins in order?
Next step would be metering the output of the pb.

Thanks both for your suggestions.

  • Tried brand new cables, and a whole selection of known good ones, both micro and C type.
  • PB appears fully charged - the LED circle rotates to full when you plug in to input - and it’s been left to charge for hours
  • How old… well, just checked Amazon and looks like I bought it in 2016, so maybe I shouldn’t be too upset if its given up!
  • Socket looks good, no obvious damage, blocks, duff pins etc, and given a quick blow with an air can.
  • Have a multimeter, but not sure how to meter the output - though happy to google that.

Now I realise its 5 years old, I’m not that worried, but was wondering if there was a simple reset I was missing that was worth a go.

Thanks again for suggestions, and if anyone has any other suggestions for fix or otherwise, then go for it! (Paperweight, doorstop, mini shot-put, fishing weight…)
