Is there any problem if i use 24 watt charger for iphone 11
24watt
Potentially.
Take photo of the output specifications.
I don’t think so, I thought a device will only draw the amount of power it needs.
Not true.
A phone will only ingest the Amps it is capable of but not the Voltage. A phone capable of ingesting 9V if presented with 15V can be broken. So it depends how 24W is broken down, if its say 9V 2.7A then fine but its say 15V 1.6A then you risk breaking the phone.
Voltage impacts the ability for leaking of current across any given gap. Current is related to resistance the phone can control its resistance (Transistor)
So why I asked the question of need to see the charger.
It’s probably fine as who’d made a 24W charger with higher voltage…
“Power” is vague, as Voltage relates to proximity and Amp related to resistance.
To solve this the industry invented Power Delivery where a charger capable of 20V will only present 20V once the phone has stated it is capable of receiving 20V, otherwise will only then offer safest 5V.
Thanks makes sense.
