20000 PD slow to charge

Hi,

I have just purchased the 20000 PD which arrived 25% charged.

I left in charging over night and its still not even at 50%. I’m using a Samsung wall charger to charge it.

Any reason why its charging soooo slow?

Cheers

You may change the cable and / or the charger.
Please let us know if there is still the same problem.

Yes, as @fhassm said, you could do something first for the troubleshooting.

I have tried a second cable but still the same.

If you’re not charging it with a PD charger it can take over 24 hours to fully charge.

I have the same one and use an Aukey PD charger and the USB type C cable that came with mine and it’s charging mine from dead in about 3 hours.

When I tried with my Anker 27w charger and micro USB cable it took over 4 hours and still didn’t change from one bar to two.

You in the UK? Have a link for that charger at all?

I think the drawback would be with the Samsung charger. I stopped using the Samsung chargers for their slow charge compared to other Anker wall chargers

@Ryan_Hill2 yep I’m in the U.K. here’s the Amazon link for what I’m using to charge mine.

Aukey USB C Wall Charger with Power Delivery 29W 1 USB C Port or Dual USB Ports for Nexus 6P, Google Pixel XL, LG G5, iPhone X/8/8 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ and more https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CNW7ZBS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_.UDuBb1T4HG4N

Make sure you use the USB type C cable that came with the battery bank and it should charge up in no time.

@Ryan_Hill2
Please use a different wall charger than Samsung’s adaptive fast charger. The reason for such slow charge is that Samsung’s charger adjust the power output based on what the phone reports, but other devices do not report what it requires so the charger goes Into a standard slow charge rate.

That’s interesting information

You need a PD compliant charger. Anker makes a few. I personally use the power port + PD.
