20000 mah powerbank help

Yesterday I got my 20000 mah powerbank and right away I charged it with my iphone charger(5v1a). When I firsy plugged in the leds showed 1 steady and 1 blinking. After many hours with no change I decided to switch the adaptor with Lg fast charger (5v 1.8a). After many hours (from beggining till now- 21+ hrs.) the powerbank shows 4 steady leds. But according to the user manual it says that all four of the leds must be off when its fully charged. But its not off, 4 steady lights are still on about 2+ hours. What should I do?

The lights do stay illuminated for quite some time.
I can’t quote you exactly, as i got bored waiting and just packed it away.
What model of PowerBank is it?
If you have a USB input you may benefit from a fast charger. An 18w charger will deliver around a 7 hour charge time.

Depends on the charger.
Tell what is exactly the type of that powerbank, so we can tell you more.

Its the powercore select 20000 model. I am using with the cable comes from it. I disconnected the lg fast charger since I cant be sure if its original now its plugged with my iphone adaptor and still 4 leds are on

guys, it’s still showing 4 leds. I unplugged it and plugged it again. now the 4th led is blipping again. I dont know what to do.

That’s normal.

When your Powercore is not fully charged, it will spend a long time with the 4th light flashing, that is because it slowly, carefully, gets itself full.

The 4 LEDs stay on for while, eventually all lights go out. As soon as 4 lights lit, it’s fully charged.

If you unplug and replug, then the 4th light will flash, but for a few minutes only, as it’s actually full, while it figures out it’s fully anyway, then it stops flashing, then all 4 lights on for a few minute, until they go out.

20000 select. This one?

I see it is best charged with

So if you are charging with 5V 1.8A it will recharge slower.

I agree with our other forum members: the LEDs do stay on with some powerbanks, and turns off on other powerbanks. It is normal. The last LED will blink whenever you reconnect the charger as it checks the battery capacity to determine if more charge is needed.

Yes I bought that one. I decided to unplug it and connect to my phone. Its been 30 minutes and it charged mu phone 30 to 40% so as promised its not fast, even slower… I am keep dissapointed by this powerbank…

This may be that you have bought the wrong Powercore for your phone. There are a wide variety of power protocols and if you mismatch you can get significantly lower performance. Not a bad product, just a mismatch to your needs.

I mean it is a whopping 20,000 milliamp hour. That is a huge battery compared to iPhones usually 2-3000 milliamp hours. Also with batteries the final bit takes a while to finish charging. Just like a marathon it starts off fast and comes to a slow finish.

All Lithium batteries have this effect. You can push energy into them faster when they are nearly empty, and must push energy into them slowly when nearly full.

The size of the Powercore doesn’t really force the charging to be faster particularly, the limiting factor is usually the phone. Chances are 10000mAh battery would recharge your phone just as fast.

It is true the maximum output Wattage of larger energy supplies is higher, so yes a larger 20,000mAh is inherently capable of higher Wattage than a 10,000mAh, but the conversion is also a factor of the electronics. You’d see this in the maximum Wattage of the Powercore Port, Anker sells say 20,000 which only do 10W output and 10,000mAh who do 18W output, as they have different electronics.
