11S getting stuck on Patterned Rug - Goes Stupid!

My Eufy 11S robovac goes absolutely stupid on a rug with large black splotches not in a pattern. When it is on that rug it constantly gets stuck acting. It acts like it is trying to go over a spot or gets stuck up against a table leg with nothing around it so it can back out or rotate but does not.

Anyone have an idea how to help it get through this? Thanks!

That seems to be the “bright/dark” problem.
When moving from bright to dark spots the sensors of the robot are supposing a “pit” there and avoid to move in.

Hey @cbhauptmann
I think @Chiquinho has a point.
I think the drop sensor may be seeing the black patch as a black hole and think it’s heading for a drop.

Today is the “day of the holes”

So you’re saying they programmed it to not fall even when no real fall? Sounds like too few sensors, only visual not just feeling.

Ja, this is a known problem
(Same happens when moving from very sunny areas to dark ones)

Ok so we need to talk and smile to the Robovac. Why is that not in the manual?

Of cause I talk to my robot.
He is “Old Willy” and he does understand me perfectly.
And as far I can give him orders and he dont give orders to me, its fine!
