Why Canada's products availability is different from the US?

We all like diversity.

But that same diversity, such as different laws for imports, different currency, is why Canada has different availability of Anker products.

To reverse the problem, why does USA not have proper bacon?

I don’t think it is the law, it is an Anker choice.

The bacon is good :)) if you were hungry

Anker alone can be the one to talk facts, I can only add argument. The population of some countries is so small, relative to the effort to import into those countries, that it restricts access to products. The population of Canada is 11% of USA, its GDP is 8% of USA, so you’d predict Canada would receive a subset of the products in USA, as well as different products to local differences in what the consumers prefers, to both good and bad outcomes.

So, the very difference of the the country of Canada, has to necessarily cause difference of availability of Anker products.

Same with practically every other country. Some countries have additional problems like physically different electrical sockets.

Interestingly, you brought the big picture of the economy to the argument. If you brought the GDP, I would add the debt per capita for you. Look like you guys Americans have so much debt than Canadians.

According to this http://www.usdebtclock.org/ Each American has $62.000 usd of debt and growing.
According to this: http://www.nationaldebtclocks.org/debtclock/canada , Each Canadian has $24.000+ (USD) of debt

I don’t like the deduction of big number to the choice of one firm, as Macro-economy rules are different than micro-economy one. I just filled in the information for you.

Interesting discussion!

A consumer of an Anker is more likely to look at personal debt than government debt, do they actually have the money to spend, in this area it is worse for Canada than USA

But I think the debt argument overall is not relevant at all to Anker product availability, as the average selling price of an Anker product is very low, I think it is a demand issue for a country relative to the effort issue for each country. I do not know the Canadian import challenges but others have in this thread. Basically it is “small population with local laws” core problem which most countries have to suffer. At least Canada has a big-country electrical socket!

Nice find, at least you found something American seems to perform better than Canada, Australia, Switzerland, and Norway, and Denmark. I wouldn’t spend time to discuss on the household debt vs welfare of a country.

Canada is not small, its area is bigger than US. Smaller population, it is. The laws are actually not much different than US, given the NAFTA rules.

Land does not buy Anker products, people do. Small as measured in population is the defining dimension.

Various reasons. Trade and import fees is one of them

Same old same old argument, China and India populations are way bigger, and Anker produced their product there (china) also. And you said, Anker price is “cheap” also.

The red color version will be available in the US before December, so stay tuned!

Patiently waiting, red and black is my favorite color combination. Not to mention it was also my high school colors

When for the UK @AnkerOfficial?

Hi @tiagomota,

Thank you for letting us know your concerns. Due to limited inventory, some products can’t meet the conditions that it can be sold in multiple markets simultaneously. Only when a country has stable inventories can we be able to guarantee the supply of products in other countries. Hope you can understand this.

But as you would expect, we plan to sell some popular products in many countries during the next year, so you can keep an eye out for it! We will try our best to meet consumers demand.

Thanks again!

Well, thanks everyone for their insights, and for keeping the conversation going! Even if it wasn’t mu original intent, I believe that getting people talking about it will, in the end, help Anker better understand customer desire in different countries, and maybe foster availability for its products to everyone.

Ouch. As you probably already know but neglected to mention. product is often designed in one country and only manufactured in another due to costs of labor and parts, ie Blackberry. Companies are in it to make money for the shareholders and anyone owning a business would be in neglect of their director agreement if they didn’t do so! There is however a very good argument about the schools in America not focusing on engineering but that does not mean that the ones that chose the post secondary technical route are BAD at it.

As far a expense goes. You can blame the government on that one. You can collect unemployment or welfare and make more money that they are paying people in other counties to Manufacture and assemble the product
the minimum wage in my province is $13.60 per hour and will rise to $15 by Oct 2018
Again it is a no brainer for a business owner.
FYI We no longer live in igloos

The red Fusion is here!

I wonder if there will be a really exciting product release before the end of the year?!

I’m sorry but it’s not worth that much of a premium over black…I’ll wait for the price to come down
