What cable do I need?

I’m honestly lost. If you see picture above. I have one part of the cable plugged into the power bank and the part that I have in my fingers I have plugged into my phone port. This should allow my phone to detect a usb is connected and automatically begin charging but it does not. That is my thinking.

Try another cable

If it charges your phone (with another cable) the three in one cable is at fault.

If nothing changes you could try resetting the powerbank. By plugging the type A output from the powerbank into the micro USB on the powerbank.

If that doesn’t fix the problem you could try plugging your phone into the powerbank and tapping the power button but the powerbank should automatically turn on when you plug in your phone.

I think @elmo41683 and I have covered all the bases if you can’t get it to work reach out to support@anker.com they will be able to assist you.

Best of luck and let us know if/when you get it working.

I don’t have another cable that will fit into both my phone and the portable phone charger. I bought this 3 in 1 on recommendation on this thread due to me not having one that would fit both in first place, so it looks like I’ll have to buy yet another cable just to test if it works with another cable besides the 3in1. Seeing as it’s a brand new cable and both by Anker I don’t understand why the 3in1 would be particularly at fault but oh well.

I plugged the type A into the power bank and then also inputted the other end into the ‘input’ listed port on my portable charger, pressed the on button and it flashed blue once. Hasn’t changed my circumstances.

do you have any other devices with a type-c port that you could try to charge from your power core?

Or you could try to use the three in one cable to charge another micro USB device from your power core and if that works the micro USB to type-c adapter is faulty.

I this this.is definitely a PICNIC problem!

You’re a PICNIC problem :joy::joy::joy:

I’m going to go out tomorrow, buy and try another cable. If it doesn’t work then I’m contacting Anker support. It will be too late though unfortunately, I’ll probably be abroad by the time anything is sorted if I go down that route. Good luck trying to ship something to me when I’m backpacking between countries, don’t know how that would work.

Best of luck I really hope you get it working before your trip.

Yawn :sleeping::sleeping::sleeping::sleeping::sleeping:

Turns out it was the cable at fault. Bought a new cable today from Argos and it worked instantly. So happy now. Am I able to get a refund on my 3 in 1 Anker cable I bought from Amazon do you think?

Thank you all for assistance even if I was a pain.
