Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

Saturday 11:25

I planned to wipe my chimney today, but rainy outside.
Too slippery to crawl up on the roof.

So I am still playing around with that mini 3 I got from soundcore’s Giveaway
Some interesting things I found out about.

Hope everyone’s having a great weekend! Just went to get my Christmas tree this morning! Right now it’s sitting in the garage because we need to get the stand ready for it but I’m excited!!!:christmas_tree::christmas_tree::christmas_tree::christmas_tree:

Will write about tomorrow.
I have to think about the expressions to explain.
Drizzling here, lockdown here.
But we keep our heads up.

There are many markets to get such a tree here in München.

I remember when I was a boy my father and I went out to the woods “to steal” one there.
Was forbidden of course.
But after we cut it, we separated, my father took the saw, I took the tree.
If I would have got caught I could tell I found it. Preparing the cut with dirt, so it was not “fresh”
But never happened.
Please keep that secret! :rofl::rofl:
(family secret)

Drizzling here too but still got out for a jog.

I never had a real Christmas tree. We always use the plastic ones. I personally think they are easier to deal with

Yes, artificial trees are so much easier! Although, “borrowing” one from the forest would definitely be more thrilling!
I do love the smell of a real tree!

I’m in your camp there @ikari04warrior
We used to get a real tree, as @TechnicallyWell says, they do have a nice smell.

In remember we had one in a pot years ago!
Now the tree is growing in the garden.

Meanwhile we have a little wooden one.
Funny. no plastic and reusable.

I saw some plastic ivy at some fences here.

Next street a new built house : like a bunker
and in front all paved.
We met the owners last year.:
A snotty lawyer (nothing against lawyers a good friend of mine is one )
and his face lifted wife - > we will never get friends.
But I don’t care : they are living next street.

enjoy Sunday.

München : Drizzling, foggy and 5C.

We had real trees many year ago and considered planting in our garden.
Instead i threw behind out shed. Now many years later, the back of the shed has rotten :pensive:

Weather update for Norwich, feels warmer than it is. Was quite hot on my jog this morning.

Next year we will plant another apple tree if two others got cut.
But lets see what next year brings to us.

I was talking to a russian friend in Moscow this morning.
They got not such a severe lockdown there.

Other countries other habits!

Quite a subdued weekend for us.

Antics with the Elf,

Biking through puddles,

And can recommended these to anyone who’s into snacks!

Its a 3 day weekend for me and tomorrow (Monday) will be shopping for final Christmas presents.

Got the Christmas Tree into the house, now just need to get the light and ornaments on it. Getting ready for the Nor’easter storm coming on Wednesday, may have first snow of the season.

I do too, and yes I bet it’s fun picking one out and cutting it

Hope you all here dont become “Christmas tree thieves” in the future
and I am the “instigator”. :joy:

You should get all fixed before the storm shows up.
Good luck!

What has the harlequin done being trapped in a “pillory”?
Was he steeling some of Charlie’s cookies?
