Closer to the holidays I’ll be into the scotch… lol
Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)
Not weekend but vacations.
Lets take a look at the fish we bought today.
One for today the other for the freezer.
The sink is a big one…hehe.
Tomorrow I will tell you something about the different coffees.
Looks like a nice catch you bought…
Look forward to reading while having my morning Java
It’s not the weekend yet but I wish it was
Thats true.
But because not so many are able to take vacations
I thought I will write here a little bit and you dont mind.
What do we have here?
“Uma bica e uma chinesa.”
“Bica” is an quite normal espresso.
its called “bica” in Lisbon an here at Madeira island.
In Porto its called “cimbali”
But if you order a simple coffee you get such a small one
normally its 60/70 cent.
“Chinesa” is a latte macciato.
but only called “chinesa” here on the island.
normally you have to order “um meio de leite”.
milk coffee this is about 1 euro.
Ok Neil if You want join us.
Its in the oven now.
Some potatoes and cabbage savoy.
May be you like music from Antonio Rosetti.
You’ll eat good tonight
Yes we did.
Today we will prepare some small ones.
These are called Chicharros.
Who knows this delicious fruit?
Need a little bit to get ready to eat.
I am sure many here at our side of the pond dont know.
Morinda citrifolia?
And also known as vomit fruit?
Custard Apple?
That’s what it looks like. It’s been a while since I have eaten those
Lol I’ve never seen it before
Its called Cherimoya.
Here the people call it simply Anona.
Its not exported as far I know.
We were donated it from “Donna Veronica”.
Fine weather here.
So we take a coffee
( @Shenoy, @paulstevenewing and @ndalby you are invited )
and go for our daily walk.
The custard apple seems to be from the same kind of plants,
looks a little bit different.
So @Shenoy gets a double espresso being the winner.
I would love to join you for a coffee today Franz.
The weather here is quite windy and it’s a cool day, so ill see you shortly!
You’ll need to sail at night under fog to avoid coastguards, keep low profile.
Lovely Franz
How long are you away for?
