We Love Testing | Upcoming Testing Events

Like @Chiquinho said, @AnkerOfficial we are looking for new items to test, any chance we could get the new PowerCore 10000 Wireless PowerBank for testing? That would be an excellent item for next “We love testing” event :crossed_fingers:

I’ll see how our support/warehouse team would say  I totally agree with testing new product too :crossed_fingers:, but it all depends on the storage and other company plans that I might have little control of.

@AnkerOfficial
May be you could propose some items which could be tested the next time and we can choose by voting.

Ask those who know about “the storage and other company plans”.

You can, we can not.

 I’ll talk to them for sure! @Chiquinho

Great, this is a way you would “integrate” the community more in those events.
You know what I mean.

Well I could but it would be against the spirit of the purpose. I could join get it sent to some address in US, they take photos and I make a type of review just from theory non-handling.

Some reviews are so awful I can do better from thousands of miles away.

Looking forward to good reviews from hands-on and not just unboxing and reading out specs.

I know you could do, but you will not.
I could write some perfect reviews too without even having seen the item in natura.
Great storyteller I am.

Hey @professor
Some of the review here are amazing.
From presentation, photos, content and real world “this is how it worked for me”
Others, but not many, are lacking.

I think this is because many new customers are invited to the forum for giveaways and product information, as instructions are often a little to vague for some.
Once here they see the great stuff that’s available, enter to get a free item as opposed to wanting to test something and share their opinion.
Get something for free, make a token gesture review and move on to the next website offering free stuff.

You/us old timers (I’m slowly falling into that category :grimacing:) have been here for a while, understand the community aspect, appreciate the brand and sometimes benefit from a giveaway and testing opportunity.

Have a great day, keep staying safe :+1:t2:

Do you know what @professor
I’m not sure if that last post made any sense whatsoever

This is because the testing is just for marketing purposes, not actual feedback. Almost like marketing want just lightweight non-negative quantity of reviews just to get penetration of awareness of product into the market.

The best reviews, ironically, can be worst for marketing as it discovers a product flaw non spot from just looking at specs and packaging.

I agree, when you got 100K+ users, it’s going to be scattergun.

Many Anker products I have no use for, e.g. the Powerconf, so any review I would do would be nearly worthless. I think I applied once to test of a product I could do a good review, and was not accepted. So I figured this is just marketing.

May be, that’s the reason I am not taken anymore!

Always a little upsetting when there aren’t more. Keep routing for the people involved here

I didn’t participate on the last event but I hope the next item is one of Eufy’s newest cam

@AnkerOfficial, just to let you know. There are 2 testing events that say the testers will be announced April 9th. They haven’t shown up yet.

Hope you are safe and well,
Freddie

Hi @freddiefarnfield!

Thanks for your concerns!
The names are usually announced on the completed testing page on time.
And we will be waiting confirmation responses from testers for some time. Some people would make second thought after being chosen, so it takes time for people to confirm on the system. By confirming, I mean submitting their shipping address.
Once we collect all required information, final tester list will be shown up on the threat.

Thanks again for reminding and stay safe as well!

@AnkerOfficial Adding to it,

We see that sometimes “We Love Testing” events have 10 (example) testing opportunity, but only 8 gets filled because the other 2 selected testers did not apply in time for the response, Anker should fill the 2 positions from other members who applied for the testing event. Just a recommendation…

Also for all the fellow members,

If members are not interested in follow-up or testing the specific product, they should try to stay away from these events till the time they see a product they would love to test and apply.
