Question on Registration

I have been buying all all my Anker products through Amazon. I faintly remember an issue where I had a product that failed a few years ago which had a 18 mo. warranty. I think that the Anker folks can just look up the purchase on Amazon and determine if it was within the warranty period. I think I also just took a picture of the charger and sent it to get my new charger.

Is that process still valid for the purchase of cables and smaller chargers?

Also, are there items which are more expensive where I would actually register with a serial number?

Can someone please give me a quick and succinct response on how the process works these days?

I would say it is and I think it goes for most items bought online. As long as you have the receipt or proof of purchase (email confirmation), you can use that for any warranty issues

Registration not required.

Required is Proof of purchase. Serial Number.

I always take photos of new items, the packaging, serial numbers outside/inside and the receipts if not bought online, best done immediately (muscle memory, habit).

Some people here bought in stores and lost receipts and got into hairy situations assuming they were good, but just do the above photos when new and keep online proof of purchase, and you’re fine.

I think registration is to just get your details to market to you, not required to honour warranty in this case.
