Im assuming that the coil is sitting on top of a ceramic plate, this helps distribute th heat away from the coils. Which is what the pack I have now does. The coils are on top of the ceramic plate which adds to the thickness. So I doubt it can be made thinner unless the forgo the ceramic plate it sits on
Anker uses a similar ceramic pad on its power wave charging pad as can be seen below
Anker Powercore use a similar material already above the cells below the case.
What I cannot guess remotely accurately is the thermals, it has to be built and measured.
When testers receive, an accurate weight and size measurement is welcomed, I’ve learned Amazon is unreliable, at least initially.

The testers can measure actual, the photos make it look at more.
0.35cm thicker is about what I’m saying is the best you can do, 2mm for the wire and then some protection above/below.
