Whenever I use assistants through earbuds, I always experience a huge delay. For bixby, siri and google assistant…
[New Release] Spirit Pro GVA | Soundcore’s First Earbuds with Google Assistant!
Just used it now to change what I’m listening too on Spotify, sure there’s the initial delay of it waiting for me to say what I want but it cha God stations right away without issue. So I say the delay you experience is user error
I completely disagree. When I’ve done it before there is about a 1-2 second delay, and then the noise plays for the assistant. Right now I only have Siri so I can’t try it with the others, but I’ve done it in the past.
Agree, disagree that’s what an opinion is for we all have one. But you said you used it in the past, past past past not now, not this moment. so what you experience may be from past experience and I just explained my experience so you do you and think what you want and I will do the same as we both agree to disagree on using Google assistant via headphones
Yes, I did!
Well this one doesn’t have delay.
Great video review
A little late here lol but I had a set of these as part of the beta test, they had a manufacturing defect which meant the solder on one of the earbuds was completely sheared off inside (I appreciate as a beta sample these things can occur).
I did reach out but the response was I’d get a set when they went on general release but nothing ever came of it.
When they did work I found the sound was great, but certainly nothing better than my older, but super good Anker Soundbuds Slim+.
Also, the Google Assistant is a bit hit and miss in my experience - very intermittent. Again, this may be due to the fact they are a beta sample. If they’d not have been faulty it would have been great to get to know them more - I did reach out to the help team via email but never got a reply.
Promising but that defect kind of tainted my opinion somewhat.
Great review btw @David_P
I would reach out to marketing again via the email that said you would receive an updated product once its released and ask wh yuh they were never sent to you. I had similar issue with a beta sample in the past and had to remind them to send me the released version as they had promised they would.
Yeah good idea, I can’t recall the email address now though as I’ve deleted a lot of emails.
I’m sure I can find it somewhere, I’ll update once I know more!
Check your sent folder seeing as you messaged them before. And just use that email
This is like apple… Now everyone else does, well join in… Want USBC, we have a couple, want Google assistant, we have one … See we are modern n leading the way!
Found it, email sent
Update.
Anker arranged for the replacement earbuds…but I received a torch instead
Currently waiting for them to reply, not quite sure how that happened!
Nice torch though!
Anker brand?
It is! I don’t usually get excited about a torch but it’s awesome and built like a tank
I’m assuming the “Google Assistant Built-in” is the same as what you get in the handful of other headphones with Google Assistant Built-in (which is definitely a poor way to describe it as it does rely on being connected to your phone). I’ve only experienced it with the earbuds that came with my Pixel 3 XL and a pair of cheap sony bluetooth earbuds, but what is nice about it is that when notifications come in to your phone it can read the notification to you and you can configure which apps to allow spoken notifications.
