i ended up posting later that there is a bug in the app. if you can see live video and get above 100k/s at the camera you are good. else you may need a firmware update for the cameras. I called support , they were great.
New Release - EufyCam E - Cameras x2 & Security Homebase
They are compatible with the EufyCamâs homebase!
We are planning on a range extender for Q1 of 2019.
If it shows âweak signalâ this could be a bug in the app. Update your app and check the live stream option of the camera to see how far is the actual range.
If this doesnât work, send an email to support@eufylife.com with your eufy Security login details.
You gotta at least give the culprit a chance to rethink their desicions!!
(Honestly, we will be taking this feedback into consideration)
We are planning on releasing a eufycam range extender in Q1 2019
So whatâs the reason for the EufyCam E redesign over the original EufyCam KickStarter product that was just released? Cosmetic/Design only, or actual hardware improvements?
Any ETA for availability of âAdd-Onâ cams or sensors?
It does have night vision. As of Jan 4, 2019, it canât be disabled.
It is cosmetic only. The function is exactly the same!
Hi All,
Can anyone advise me on the URLâs used by the eufyCam E and Homebase for network security filtering.
My current network blocks the traffic and i require the URLs so i can have them whitelisted.
All help appreciated.
Thanks

@ymangera No idea what you are talking about. @AnkerSupport may be able to help you. I am not a network specialist.
But all the videos are just stored on your SD card in your homebase?
The only traffic I see is when you access any events recorded on your homebase via the APP on your cellphone.
Of course, homebase also sends out notifications to the APP !
Just be aware that the version shipping on Amazon comes with a stripped down homebase. No AI and no backup battery, not even a provision to add one. I found out the hard way.
I just need the URL that is used from the mobile app to access the live feed and event recordings.
The URL is required for the networks that would usually block unknown URLs.
I assume the URL would be something hosted by Anker/eufy which then proxies the traffic to the DDNS of the HomeBase.

OK, do you really need this? I used secured and corporate networks too but never asked for this infoâŚ
that kind of backend info is not visible to the frontend user, so question for @AnkerTechnical @AnkerSupport
Where are these extenders? The range on this base unit isnât great.
