That’s why I was asking the question because I feel like people definitely have a preferance and I was curious which way they were leaning. Glad they still have some form of cable pouch though it gives it a more premium feel to it

I have both styles. I got gift set and got another micro-usb cable and its soft case is smaller than the other soft cases from them.

I gave my parents new Anker Lightning cables that came in the hard case and I am disappointed that Anker is still using the soft case for their new USB-C cables. I need one of those cases for my travel gear. Maybe their next version will have the hard case.
