I like Level based (at least level 7, so I can compete haha) but would also be nice to have engagement based too. That should take care of the people that only participate for contests and nothing more.
New Admin. Who dis?
Well, I’m not looking at this forum everyday, I might visit once or twice a week. Recently I haven’t been on for months at a time. I don’t come here for the chit chat either. I’m here for the tasks, rewards and the power draws. I used to use the Eufy forum a hell of a lot to talk to people and resolve their problems because no one answered their problems. A lately, the Eufy forum has turned to crap as its either people complaining about their products instead of contacting customer services or people asking for features that don’t exist.
I did start an instagram page that show cased Eufy products, it got quite a few followers and likes. I was even approached by the official Eufy instagram page to ask if they could use my posts on their account every time I posted. After I ran out of products to post I asked if they wanted anymore photos of new products they were promoting and if so they could send them me to photograph. Eufy quickly stopped relying once my free photos stopped. I never received anything for contribution. This left me bitter for a little while after. The instagram account was @smart.home.uk. I would love to start it up again if you know anyone who could help?
Finally, if I was admin for the day (please don’t give that much power to a mere moral) I would create some topics that involve tasks where no one has the upper hand (the number competition from a few years a go was the best). Also competitions that don’t rewards people who get the most likes as its always won by cheats.
Oh, whoa. This made my head hurt. I’m sorry for this unprofessional behavior. As someone who has worked in social and community for consumer brands, it’s more likely that someone got stuck and couldn’t resource product to you. Getting product outside our walls to community and social isn’t a streamlined process. This is how an internal problem creates a bad customer/partner experience.
What do you mean by “I’m here for the tasks, rewards …?” Power draws I understand. And what is an example of a “task” wherein “someone has the upper hand”?
I can make no promises for mechanism for winning … but I will keep your feedback in mind and try to keep the winning fun and different.
Thanks for the perspective. It’s noted.
Bumping for the fun of it
Ha! You’re right! That was fun.
