Naming Contest | Nickname Your Anker Things

Looking at your original post @ktkundy I think thats what Anker wants.
Lots of members, active or not!
It looks great from a marketing perspective to have a high head count. And to boast a promotion giving away a few products resulted in XXX new members to the forum.

Two sides to it… It may be legit members since this event has been posted / shared in social media and lot of new members join based on it, many have Anker products

other side of the coin is the opposite… would be better if dealt by @Ankerofficial as Anker Team has means and ways to check.

I feel, this will stay,

This goes back to the points highlighted by Techman and I … Posts / Pictures need to be chosen by Anker Team

I think it will stand because you just can’t tell.
The poster could have been sitting in his office with not much to do and got his colleagues to sign in and vote.
But there’s a little time left for the balance to be addressed.

I might be missing something but how would having inactive members be good for marketing?

I think the expectations from Anker Team or any marketing team is to catch eyes of users in the hope that these users may one day convert into “product buying” customer… who may eventually become inactive users.

These events / contests facilitate the user (and future customer) acquisition

Enjoy the weekend
getting hot here ca 29C, I like it.

Headline figures @ktkundy.
Being able to quote an active forum of ?? members looks great on Anker but as we know there are roughly 40-50 actual active members.

The rest are those lurkers who show up ONLY if there is something to win.

I call my Soundcore Flare Mini, “Tower of Siren” aka “Tower of Sauron” because of “Lord of the Rings” and given the fact that my Sound-core amplifies the sound of my alarm and creates a loud siren serving to get my sorry cheeks out of bed in the morning.

Yup, the power of the vanity metric. Being able to quote a big number regardless of actual benefit. Always an interesting discussion with a digital marketing lead who thinks the number of likes is more important than subsequent activity.

MY REDHEAD :woman_red_haired:

It was completely unplanned, but I was headed out for an after-dinner walk and my wife said “where are you going?” so, I said jokingly “I have a hot date with my favorite REDHEAD” :yum:

My wife started to get mad and demanded to know “who” this redhead was. I pulled out my headphones and said “my favorite REDHEAD”

My wife fired right back with “well maybe you’ll listen to her” doh

The name for my headphones has stuck ever since. I even named the Bluetooth profile REDHEAD!

Thanks,
:palm_tree: Jesse :palm_tree:

We first named the newest member of our family, Rosie!

She quickly became NOSEY ROSIE because of she always butts in during our conversations, knocks our feet while we’re cooking or gets stuck under the couch while watching TV!
