All good points you made there, i really hope to see the system improved at Soundcore …
Soundcore is going to be a year old in September, and we can expect some changes to come through … initially they would love to get as many members and exposure and they have met or reaching what they wanted, with such lot of giveaway events and more!
It was only for the first month… there is a leaderboard, and whoever has the most points earned each month wins a prize. The first month first place was a $1000 iTunes giftcard (I’ve still barley spent any of it lol).
Now it’s usually top 3 win a soundcore product which varies every month.

Glad to know @Tank , I got an iPad mini for kids around about the time the cards were given, used them on lot of education apps for kids and some photo apps for myself, renting / buying movies from itunes … put to good use

The current system is deeply flawed, as are many elements of the Soundcore Collective.
As techman mentioned, a one time thing that he won the first month - a number of others got pretty big itunes payouts too, the rewards that month went far down the list. Ever since it has been top 3 on the leaderboard, except in the months when they have no winners.
The system will certainly get tweaked eventually. No system starts out perfect. But they did do what they were aiming to I think - kicked off an active community in a short time period. But also at some cost of pulling activity from here over there.
