Huawei P40 and P40 Pro certified with 22.5W and 40W chargers

Not bad :+1:

That’s great charging.
Is there still issues with Google apps and Huawei phones?

What is happening is the combination of China and Europe, together twice the economic size of USA and 6 times the population, have had too much of the USA politics for over a year and are detaching themselves from Google, not so much against Google but against having USA dictate what they and cannot do. If USA had delivered a shred of evidence of their claims… but they didn’t.

So Huawei is using a combination of open source and their own app store.

In the case of the 40W chargers, that really must be a sign of Graphene batteries coming sooner than I had thought of 2021. Graphene recharges faster with less heat, so that causes a demand for faster chargers.

Graphene batteries are the really most important change in mobile technology for some years. Graphene is a 30% cost hike in 2020/1 so expect to see first in the very expensive items like flagship phones where the % cost impact is small, and in very small items like buds which don’t have big batteries anyway, then work into electric powered vehicles 2022/3.
