Honestly it’s always a fun discussion to have with non-Indians (and Indians too of course). I had friends in high school who were a year ahead of me and they were proper fans of Indian food :joy:

How many could make roti and ras gulas from scratch though??

No one :joy:. They just loved going to Indian restaurants to try all kinds of food

I can’t make a perfect or near perfect roti either haha. I can make the dough and roll out all kinds of countries and states :joy:

Lol the best ones are those not round. Also I’ve been experimenting with naan bread… using sour dough. Quite tasty.

We tried it ones at home. Not sour dough I think but it was much more hectic than normal ones lol

Only if you have to start the starter from scratch…

Otherwise pretty easy

Did you get it to make those bubbles?

Yes hot pan, and little bit of cilantro and garlic. Ghee too to fry

Nice! The recipe we saw told us to flip our pan to get that brownish color and proper bubbles. That was more difficult on flareless stove

Also, that naan sure sounds tasty :joy:
