Do cables make a difference?

Chargers make a difference not cables

Why should they?
Some know about some not.

How will that charger send that power to your phone?
Through cablesā€¦Cable is the main factor which will determine how fast your phone will charge.
Different cables have different ohmic resistances and thus will throttle the current and/or voltage to maintain Ohmā€™s law (V=IR).

Cables do matter and Anker is a very trusted brand that you canā€™t go wrong with . Glad you found Anker

More durable I guess, but Iā€™ve never broken a single Apple cable so I wouldnā€™t know much.

I would say yes, definitely Anker is excellent with all they make. Their cables are a tad shorter and a tad more expensive then apple regular cables. But they have a LIFETIME warranty. Most companies donā€™t do that with anything. And I love their portable chargers. Iā€™ve had a anker portable charger since about 2015-2016.

So if you want a tech wire, portable charger company. Anker is the way to go!

I would disagree with this statement. Some to their products are less then mediocreā€¦

I misspoke. Iā€™ve only had cables, wall plugs and portable chargers and I only just recently found out they make other things

The majority of there products are excellent, and I would highly recommend. The only one I donā€™t like is the Roav bolt. I recommend speakers, earbuds, flashlights, batteries, chargers, cables etc.

Yes

Ive used the
Amperes app
On my I phone and test have surprised me on chargers and cables

test yourself is my answer also heat plays into the equation

Cables do make a difference

No.
This one could last for years if there will be no short cut before.:rofl::rofl:

Looks like a tree branch lol

I remember those cables were used in old houses.
The isolation was textile braided
Ankerā€™s cables are nylon braided now
Thatā€™s a progress! :grinning:

Who, that looks like old knob and tube wiring. Highly dangerous stuff in this day and age

I think cable tech has slowed down majorly in the last few years.

You still need thick oxygen free copper to make a decent cable, and the longer the thicker. Yet optical is about but itā€™s only used on audio ā€¦ @professor @tank @AnkerTechnical why is this?

I think cables are good enough, itā€™s a build quality topic.

Where is see slow innovation is common standards of high power charging. The fork of Quick Charge, PD, etc

These type of cables were used for 220V power in houses.
I was often living i a flat in such an old house in Munich and have seen and handled those.
If you dont touch its fine.
But if ā€¦ you are lostā€¦ ā€œcrumblingā€ā€¦:worried:

But today all got restored.
New lines often in the old cable ducts.

In the day, I used to replace cables for new in old garages/workshops, was simple then and allowed.

Now to replace cables you need local council approval and a qualified electrician.

Under new rules, you can add an extra light or socket without such control.

Once or twice Iā€™ve found out a dead wire is still live :zap::electric_plug:hahahaha  after once itā€™s not too bad, itā€™s the amps that are bad for you
