A very well-done review! Great job! The video definitely deserves more and more people to see it!
Detailed Review of the Eufy Security Video Doorbell
Share it on your socials if it’s that good!
how does it compare to nest hello in terms of activation alerts, tired of paying monthly fees
The alert is fast, I did an alert speed test in the video at 01:10. After the doorbell detected the motion, it will take around 2-3 seconds to send an alert notification without any thumbnail, ~7 seconds if you want it to send alert and thumbnail at the same time. If you want to see it in action, you can watch my review video at 01:10.
I haven’t use the Nest Hello so I can’t really say much. But one thing I know for sure is that the AI human detection on the nest is better than eufy Video Doorbell. If you will mount the doorbell at a location where there isn’t a lot of car and trees (becasue eufy will think that tree/car is a human) then eufy video doorbell will be the cheaper option for long term use. I am pretty sure that AI human detection on the eufy video doorbell will get better with software updates.
thanks, good review, will wait for the next sale
Loved this review and the various tests etc for checking notifications walking in and out of the house.
Superb!! Actually making me seriously consider buying it (but at the best price possible)
I am happy to hear that my review helped you come down to your final purchase decision.
Awesome review!! Very thorough and informative!
Very interesting. Doesn’t seem that bad of a video doorbell compare to others in the market.
Awesome video Thanks
Thank you
I really enjoy the first-person IPX testing kids here play water pistol every summer, I think Eufy should be durable enough!
Great Review
Is the doorbell able so save the recordings on the eufy security homebase like other cameras? Or rtsp stream it to a Nas?
Hi @ErikNL,
Now the doorbell cannot be connected to the homebase of eufycam, but our back-end engineers will create this feature in the near future. The NAS will only temporarily be used on eufycam, we will consider involve it into the doorbell system in the future.
That is good to hear. This way, videos from the doorbell can be recovered if the doorbell got stolen.
Thanks Anker Official for the reply.
@Tech_Man Exactly, this makes thinking about this device seem reasonable.
When the watermark gate is solved and ifttt support is added.
