Yes that’s the standard non braided cable which starts at a higher price point as pointed out in the op

It’s my birthday today, thought these would of hit the UK by now. Was banking on one as a gift

Powerline II cable looks great! Hope this comes to the UK soon too. Here’s the state of my official Apple cable that I bought last year. Just took it out of action it because I’m worried the yellowing means something’s burning. Typical Apple quality…
