I just received the Anker PowerCore 20100 and am charging it now.
Is it normal for the unit to get quite warm?
Anker PowerCore 20100
How warm? If it’s uncomfortable to touch, then stop charging it right now, and contact support at support@anker.com
If it’s a gentle warmness that feels nice, then it’s probably fine.
The PowerCore 20100 is expected to get a bit warm, but not to the extent of too hot to touch it.
If its too hot to touch during charging, better to unplug the device and contact anker support as suggested by @TechMan
What kind of charger are you using to charge the baterypack? Certain chargers such as ones that do not output sufficient power can cause the pack and plug to get a bit warm as its working harder to try and charge it, similarly if you are using a charger that has too high output would do the same thing
Maybe you got a defective unit. I hope not
Thank you everyone for your replies! I may have been over-reacting! Ive been reading up and some warmth is ok, it really wasn’t excessive. Thanks again from a newbie!
