+++ YAMYAM’s SOLAR PANEL TEST & REVIEW - Part 6/7 +++

OK girls … after some days of testing and checking things out (as seen in the previous parts) …

… TIME HAS COME TO MOUNT AND CABLE THE SOLAR PANEL

But before we start, let me tell you that i wasn’t feeling of tapping cable slots or to us cable channels. And as i have a tiles facade anyway, i decided to use the following self-adhesive cable clamps:

+++ YAMYAM’s SOLAR PANEL TEST & REVIEW - Part 7/7 +++

+++ THE RESULT! +++

After about 2 months of pre-testing and already over 3 weeks of ACTIVE REAL LIFE SCENARIO INSTALLATION am so much impressed and fascinated about this solar panel, even if it only brings up to 5W power and the eufy cam could handle some more ampere on input, this solar panel is a 100% buy recommendation from me!

Even me will order some more of those panels for all my other “heavy used and fast draining eufy cams” in the near future.

The solar panel is now already over 3 weeks in usage and my (solar panel) eufy cam (which is normaly drained empty in less than 2 weeks) NEVER FELT DOWN LOWER THAN 4/5 BARS IN THIS THREE WEEKS!

Means: My eufy cam is (under the current weather conditions and with at least 1-2 hours of direct sunpower or 6-10 hours of cloudy/shadow indirect sunlight … probably NEVER EMPTY AGAIN!!!

So everyone who has the same problem with the eufy cam battery power, get a solar panel and be happy!

The only sad about all this is, that eufy itself did not succeed in the past 6+ months (since it was defenitely clear that there is a demand!) to bring their own (optimal) eufy cam solar panel to the market!

Great work bringing these to the community and making sure we see them. I missed the original post but I am a candidate for eufy cams. i have been interested in how they perform and any issues that occur with them when they ship. This definitely helps me know I need to wait to see these issues resolved! I am interested in the battery - 365 days is a bold claim. Would you mind telling me how many days you have had them running consecutively?

You are welcome! But i guess you misunderstand this thread. This is about a solar panel i bought to fix my battery power problem with my most used eufy cam, which is empty every 2 weeks, and not about issues with the eufy cam itself. (Or maybe i am the one who misunderstand your post, if so, sorry)

I am interested in the battery - 365 days is a bold claim. Would you mind telling me how many days you have had them running consecutively?

Now i am kinda bewildered, as they told me that only some few white ones are available at amazon UK and now they also have the black one on stock in UK? HUH? … So why not filling up the stock for Amazon DE with the black and white versions? … I will contact them again and ask. Curious at the answer

Does anyone made any experiences with OTHER 3rd party solar panels and would like to share them with us?

As eufy still does not offer an own solar panel (don’t let us talk about the range extender which should be available also already) and eufy cams drain faster empty than i can spell E-M-P-T-Y, i would emmediatly buy 3 or 4 of this i have reviewed here (in black).

Problem:
Amazon Germany: SOLD OUT and dealer tells me it won’t be sold anymore there.
Amazon Brexit: Available, sometimes even in black, but currently black is sold out and only 1 white left.

In the meanwhile i would even register at Amazon UK and let me send them to Germany and pay a lot of shipping.

Let’s see, maybe a wonder is happening and eufy brings finally an own solar panel which fits technically perfectly for our eufy cams and will not harm the battery or overcharge it or even be possible to adjust the loading voltage (so we could set it max in winter and middle or low in summer to prevent 95-100% loadings all the time)

By the way:
This week a heat wave rolls over Germany and today a new heat record of 38.6 ° C was reached, what is exactly 101.48 ° F!

(Sidenote: Hey Trumpfool… climate change isn’t fake news and climate change will burn your ugly hairpice!)

So with maximum heat and sun the whole week…

… my solar panel could charge my eufy cams to the moon and back

But then … for the first time … BAM!

For the very few of you who don’t understand german:

Charging not possible! The camera battery can not be charged when the ambient temperature is above 113 ° F or below 32 ° F.

ATTENTION - SOLAR PANEL TEST UPDATE NEWS!

For all who are interested in my solar panel test(s) and/or solar panel powered eufy cams and/or still waiting like me for eufy releasing finally their own and perfectly tuned eufy cam solar panel, this update/addition for your information:

After i have bought the above shown and tested
noname 5V 3,5W micro-usb wall mounted solar panel for 26,99€
to power my most heavy in use eufy cam (200-300 videos daily, each 1 minute) i have bought a
WASSERSTEIN 5V 2W micro-usb wall mounted solar panel for 19,99€
for my second most in-use eufy cam, with about 100-200 videos daily, each 1 minute).

In comparison to my first solar panel, it is even cheaper, a little bit smaller in dimension, but only got 2W instead of 3,5W power:

I hope 2W will be enough to power my 2nd heavy-in-use eufy cam.
I will install it tomorrow and then will see and may report what happens

By the way … hey @AnkerOfficial, @AnkerSupport, @AnkerTechnical, @ndalby, @TechnicallyWell … after you have added a not deactivatable watermark which is so much important, more than anything else and wasting (apart from reputation) important pixels and a clear view on the action of a security cam footage … and earned a well deserved shitstorm for it, you probably and finally will have time to develop and sell an own eufy cam solar panel and/or eufy cam solar skin case?! … Just thinking …
