It’s is demanding but extremely rewarding.
I don’t mind you asking but would rather not mention if that’s ok. It’s quite a provoking so I find its better not to discuss.
Signing off now for the night.
Have an awesome rest of the week guys.

“Man’s loo” got now installed.
The first basin received was broken, so we had to wait for a replacement.
Did take a while.
The next step will be mounting the mirror and the lamp.
If ready I can publish a photo.
Looks great, will look better when ready.
Opened the box of the Nebula Astro.
I will call it “The Knödel” in the future.!
But “reboxed” it , further investigations will take a while.
But after pushing “ON” it started!
Thats a great name for the Astro Franz
And please do post some photos of the final result, will be great to see its completion.
What else should I call it!
(Will take a photo of the Astro and one of my Knödel.)
Always fun Paul, life is hard enough.
Tomorrow another antique market.
Don’t think there will be findings, but a lot of talks with the buddies,!
Life certainly is Franz, you have to take the opportunities to lighten up life when and where you can
Enjoy catching up with your friends and fingers crossed, you may find some treasure!
Mine is better.
You know “Schwurzenegger” (sic) the Austrian
I could fake yours and call him
“Protectinho” (not Chiquinho)
Lol you look great in a superhero costume
Protecto sounds more like Magneto from X-Men… Professor is also a X-men character, the Lead one!
Forgot to bring the waterproof bag for the phone, but we snapped this one before we began. Preparing for some river tube floating Had a nice 2 hour float, much better than last time when we miscalculated the distance and it was 4 hours
Sounds fun! Hope the kids had a lot of fun!
was referring to Professor Charles Francis Xavier from X-men
Got a nice compass from the Wehrmacht at the flea today.
I am not in militaria and N*zi-stuff at all.
But it was 10 Euros so I took it.
The clk stands for Breithaupr Kassel.
After 1943 the equipment items got a special code.
Works of course.
Old German quality!
Can’t beat old German quality.
I like these old small pieces, interesting and nice to have as a topic of conversation.
Hope you had a good catch up with friends @Chiquinho
I still store some watches and compasses from that period.
After 1945 the compasses, the watches and the binoculars were kept often.
All the rest stuff had to be destroyed.
I kept the medals of my father in law (RIP).
(Otherwise they would have disappeared)
I was so angry they would have thrown his photo being a “Gebirgsjäger” into the garbage.
I could safe some things the others had no idea about.
You see him here “Oberleutnant der Gebirgsjäger”
I think he was about 24 when the photo was taken.
Died some years ago.
Rest in peace my good old friend!
Keeping pieces of history is very important.
Intact people do t realise how important historical and family heirlooms are until its too late.
I tried to translate Oberleutnant der Gebirgsjäger and it says first lieutenant mountain troop, was that correct?
