UPDATE Soundcore Wakey Wakey Review

Nice review. Would like to see if they do a Wakey 2 or an updated version of the Wakey

Hey @diego_tristen Thanks.
I’m sure they will further down the line, the current Wakey isn’t very old though.

That’s never stopped them from updating products…just look at the eufy cams

Whenever Anker makes Wakey version 2… they should name it Wakeyy ( 2 ‘y’ for version 2 ) @AnkerOfficial

Anker doesn’t tend to pre-announce products.

What I can say is nothing has shown up at FCC (so nothing with next 6 weeks), and nothing has been announced.

Email Anker for reply. If they’ve decided to discontinue it they will probably say so, but if another product is coming they probably won’t comment.

Hey @y118
Indeed! Here in the U.K. the original Wakey hasn’t been available for quite some time.
I would be interested to see what the Wakey 2 would bring.
Personally, more adjustment on brightness, a smaller power block and DAB/Internet radio, WiFi as opposed to Bluetooth connection and no connection sound :sunglasses:

Would be good, but there are different adjustments USA /EU.
Will lead to confusions as usual.

I’m sure you’re right Franz.
Other manufacturers seem to manage it Slim sure Anker can too!

we had thought last year or the year before that they might but chatter on that as of late had been pretty dead. The wakey still is a cool device Im just a little bummed because they could have run with it and made it even better

DAB would be fine, but I don’t know if there are so many HD-radio stations in the USA.
The DAB station network is sufficient here in Germany, though there are
regions lacking of it.
München is perfect.
I use only a piece of wire for the antenna.
More than 30 stations.

But meanwhile I prefer that
Swiss internet radio.
No comments, no news, only classical music.

Yes Franz. I wouldn’t need DAB if it had Internet Radio.
That, I assume, would make it universal.

Meanwhile I play that Swiss station the whole day.
The speaker is located in front of me in the height of my ears.
Perfect.
There are many internet radio stations around.
But I want listen to music, detect unknown composers.
Dont need any comments, news etc.

It still shows up on the soundcore website for me ( https://us.soundcore.com/products/a3300121?_pos=1&_sid=e0fd4a8aa&_ss=r ) and it let me add it to my cart and get to the checkout screen.
