I’ll relax ant work while Mary is busy at home

She will soon need one of her small brush gears replaced soon. Things are getting a bit grinding.

I did a replace of the motor unit.
After opening I saw the gear inside was absolutely worn out.
You will need Charlie to help,
Small fingers are the best for taking off the tiny plugs.
There is a video:

But never do handle the screws like this "… " does.
Never an engineer.

That’s a good deal for anyone wanting to try a Robovac!!

I’ve got the basic model 15C and it’s still going great - it’s had a bit of a rest over the Summer with the kids being home and them leaving stuff around - but I’ll get it into it’s normal routine again as they return to school this week!

The gears are not offered, its the whole motor.
After “surgery” I opened the transmission case of the motor and found that rotten nylon gear.
This could be replaced of course, but where to find…

Maybe the gears are plastic to create a deliberate weak point to protect more expensive or delicate parts.
But if you can’t buy the gears that’s poor.
When I dismantle I will search the Internet for an equivalent, I’m sure they exist out there somewhere

Yes they exist somewhere.
Standardized parts of course.
But not sure you can buy only a single one.
