What do you think about this?

We have a similar construction here in Germany.

I think this is a way to reduce the worst aspects of isolation while putting individuals at least risk.

In UK, roughly 1/4th of the deaths have been caused by fear and isolation, 3/4ths by the virus. So if you can give a limited access to social interaction with a small increase in risk of the virus, it is a net positive.

Ja, the social isolation is extremely hard for many elder people.
Those old ones , living alone, supposed to be in that “risk group” -> e.g.retirement home.
They need their contacts, and I think these are very limited.
Those will not get in touch with too many people.
