I am wondering if the magnetic strips will work properly under carpets or must robotic come directly in contact with the strips?

I dont have that type of Vac.
but I am sure there is no direct contact needed.
It should work when the strips are under such a carpet.

The magnetic strips are of low magnetic power, so putting them under carpet wouldn’t work. They need to physically contact with the vacuum to prevent it from entering that space
