The flea!
I thought it is a used expression in GB and US.
There might be the real inventors of those flea- and antique-markets.
Isn’t it so?
I call it swap meet when i was a kid we used to go a lot

Flea market, is more of a cheap place, where.most is tat/rubbish, but cheap! However, it’s not usually dropped to just FLEA, but flea market… Which is what I was half thinking you.meant.
Then up one to normal.market
Have heard of, but never seen or been to a swap meet. Good idea tho.

This is really the “skill”!
To pick something which has some kind of value from all this
rubbish.
I call it “household-rubbish”.
(But you might compare it with all this useless garbage you find at ebay nowadays)
I do this for about 45 years.
And here in Munich are many of these kind of markets.
But mostly you will find “Used Baby-underware” there!!!
