Anker Powerport II with Iphone 8 plus

Hi, i have an Anker Powerport II;
Why if i put Iphone 8 plus in PowerIQ port it charges between 5v 1.4 and 5v 0,90 instead of 5v 1.8/2.0 which is the maximum iphone 8 amperage in usb-a
With other chargers like aukey im never under 1.8 amp, with anker powerport charge is so much slower;
Is it normal ?
Product description said “Our exclusive fast-charging technology Intelligently identifies your device to deliver the fastest possible charge” but compared to other charges it does not seem that way…

Yes
The issue is with usb a
Usb c PD works fine

Unfortunately, Anker seems to have removed VoltageBoost from PowerPort II PD in order to comply with USB-IF standards. This means slower charging speeds for non-QC devices through the PowerIQ 2.0 port. You can always use the PD port to charge your iPhone 8+, though! Just pick up a USB-C to Lightning cable from Apple.

Dear Andrea Naples,

We are really sorry for the trouble that the PowerPort II charger caused. Could you please tell us how long the charger to takes to charge your iPhone 8 Plus? And could you please try the charger on a different device and cable?

Meanwhile, would you please contact us via email address: support@anker.com with your Amazon order number? We will try our best to make things right for you.
