I’ve had an issue several times where my Anker PowerCore+ 20100 when outputting charge to my Google Pixel via the supplied USB-C to USB-C cable. It will at some point during the night when the phone is fully charged or when the power backs runs out of charge, will begin charging itself via draining the battery of my phone.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and has solution besides using a USB-A to USB-C cable?

Yes, you need to press the LED power wheel before plugging in your device!
Yeah I do press the button before plugging it in and it does charge my phone perfectly 9/10 times. Just sometimes it will finish charging my phone and decide to charge itself.
Strange… you may have a defective unit. I would email support@anker.com and maybe they can send out one with Power Delivery, which should be a better match for your Pixel.
