Labour day. Ergonomical aspects

I suppose many of yours are using a laptop at work or at home.
But do you think about ergonomy, when you sit bent over such one for a long time?
No external keyboard and screen connected?
At work there was a MUST.

Here at home I built a kind of laptop holder.
Not high class craftmanship, but it is OK for me?

Our staff are given docking stations with their laptops and linked to external monitors etc but lots don’t bother using them.

I have a desktop and dual monitor set up. It’s great for me.

Love your self built stand though :ok_hand:

Oh Mac! :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you know when I used my first ATARI and MAC :
All small screens on the desk.
Bending over like a worm all the days writing TEX macros:
I got pains in the chest and the back.
I was confused, so I went to a cardiologist.
We were talking about my profession,
and he was really clever enough to find the reason for that pains.

That’s a neat stand . Good job

Have no but others could do,
A better and more “designed” construction of course is needed.
This was done “ad hoc”.

To buy such one in a shop is easy.
But there are boards, glue, screws and an old retired has time a lot,

Lol sure looks like you were bored and wanted to use your experience for something

Besides it’s always satisfying to use things you built yourself

Never bored. Many things here to do.
When you are retired you have more things to do than before, believe me!

Nice stand @Chiquinho ! My brother made something like that but he did his with pvc tubing. Same function as yours but his was very lightweight. I was scared it would tip over but he modified and put a pvc base around it.
