Anker should make iPhone and android charging case

Looks like phone cases market is not profitable enough for Anker to return

Maybe thats why mophie charges 100 bucks for one because barely anyone buys them

That’s right.

Does mophie own rights to all battery phone cases?? Can’t anker find a way to make their own version that isn’t identical in some way

No company seems to do a charging case the way I’d like. I’d like to be able to charge the case wirelessly and or with usb-c, but use a separate charging jack. then have the case battery wirelessly charge the phone. I want the phones charger to be open, so it can be used as any other case. If they could make the case at least 5500 mih, I’d definitely buy. It really is a bummer that they got sued, as anker always makes the best version of any product.

Seriously, I also want to know. I didn’t know they had a lawsuit

From what I could find on google this all went down in 2018
here is one of the documents I found which was very confusing to me but shows that the owners of the company mophie sued Anker and Anker tried to claim that they didn’t steal the tech and idk what else. But there was an actual law suit

Interesting :astonished::open_mouth: Didn’t know that

I’m not really sure about the details of it.

I think the charging case deal is a double edged sword - it adds a lot of bulk to the phone that most people don’t want.

It would be nice to see more competition, but there’s only so much capacity you can before you’re holding a brick. Prices most likely like won’t be cheap either, it would either need to be MFi certified or Qi certified.

Anker already had it, i use it on my iPhone 6S, but it is news to me that Anker was sued by Mophie

Surprised Otterbox hasn’t designed one

I actually won an Anker charging case for an iPhone 6 once! I don’t really use it because it blocks the headphone jacks and the only way to charge it is micro USB but I’d like to see something like this. Doesn’t look like its possible though

if anker still sold these i would have bought one.

iPhone 6 doesn’t charge using micro-USB…

He wasn’t saying the iPhone charges with micro USB, but rather the case did. In fact most battery cases charged via micro USB cable

Oh sorry, I was confused

Who got rid of your post?

It was me, myself

@Tank Had answered / clarified the MicroUSB port to question above from @TechMan for iPhone… Didn’t want to add more …
