Zolo Liberty+ not connecting to two bluetooth devices

I dont know why it is not connecting to two bluetooth devices simultaneously. I am using note 8 and c7 pro(both samsung).

Pair it to one device, disconnect from that device and turn bluetooth off on that phone. Put the earbuds back into the case, turn bluetooth on the second phone. Remove earbuds and pair to second phone. Turn bluetooth back on first phone and connect to earbuds, it should key sync to both phones. This is how I have mine paired to both phones, one plays music and the other rings for phone calls

That doesn’t work for me as it goes. I actually find switching which device the Liberty+ are connected to a pain. Can anyone else confirm it working tho?
