I can see that scenario happening but mostly it would be on the stand all day in work so shouldn’t happen that often. Maybe that’s where it would be easier with a case option instead of the charging panel
Wireless Charging on Older Devices
You should wait.
The link is not working buddy.
Sorry about that, fixed now. Try it again
Cheers dude. They have discontinued the adaptor on the page but cases are still available for £40
Will keep a good look out and get something soon. Cheers for your thoughts everyone
Welcome, I saw the adapter available online but you have to search for it.
Definitely stay away from the cheap charging pads, I brought one very similar to the photo you posted and was testing it on my iPhone 7 as an experiment and within a couple of minutes the pad was very hot.
I’d definitely sit it out and wait until August most networks let you upgrade a month early so you might only be waiting until July mate. @Oggyboy
Cheers. I’m not gonna jump in and grateful to everyone’s advice.
If I wait until August I will probably wait until September when the newer iPhone comes out. We’ll see what happens
Before you know it, it’ll be the iPhone 20
Hi @Oggyboy, please be assured that Anker wireless charger is compatible with all Qi-enabled devices, so if the iPhone 7 Qi receiver works, then our wireless charger should be able to charge your iPhone 7(with Qi receiver) at 5W.
Thank you @AnkerSupport
I’m not after super fast charging but want to get something to tide me over and get into the game
Dunno if it’s on your PowerUser page @Oggyboy but there is a half price code for a PowerPort Wireless on there at the moment.
Hiya @Macgyver15 I can see it but will wait until I get a case or charging panel sorted first
Cheers for the headup though
Just ordered a case and the PowerPort Wireless 5 stand
#joiningthewirelesscrew
Ok. I was going to order the stand but though I’d wait for the next Deal to pop up
Haha you just couldn’t wait for an upgrade huh? It’s all good, I was a hater of wireless but have grown to like it…I have a review coming tomorrow so stay tuned
I’ve had a rethink. I’m thinking if I get the case and PowerPort wireless. I need a couple of chargers. Work, car etc or a proper case that has a power input so I can charge on the go via cable if I’m not near a wireless charger.
Looked at Dog and bone cases. Perfect for the iPhone 6 and only £15 but don’t do a 7 Plus over here.
So still on the hunt for the right bits and bobs
Case is the better option, I tried a third party charging pad adaptor thingy on my old phone and it wasn’t easy to use, when snapping the case on the pad could move and it’s then difficult to align the charger and pad.
