SoundCore 2 problem with play button

Hey there :wink:

Just recieved my SC2. Instantly fell in love.
Looks good, sounds good (and smells a bit funny xD).

But there’s this one thing:
The play button is not able to start my music.
I can skip songs, stop the current song, start the google
assistant – but it won’t resume the playback if stopped.

I’m running Spotify on my S8 Plus.
Any ideas?

Hi @Finn_Glink,
It might be an glitch specific to the Spotify app. Would you mind trying another music app (like Pandora or iHeart Radio) to see if the Play button performs the same way? It sounds like the Play button is physically OK since it can pause and call up the Google Assistant. Thanks!

Yep! That’s it.
Amazon Music works perfectly.

Still a problem, since all my music is on Spotify -.-

Update:
After a reinstall it worked – as long as the app was running.
I closed it, now it’s broken again.

Thanks for the update! Hopefully Spotify can address this in a future app update. You may want to submit a ticket to them with the details of your phone so they can look into it.

If that happens again try force closing the application instead of a reinstalling

My SC2 is paired with google home mini and android phone. I can send music to speaker, stop, start, pause, skip from both. However, I have never been able to get the speaker to be an “extension” to the mini. Should I be able to long press the play button on the SC2 and talk to the mini, like ask for the weather? When I long press play button nothing happens, no beep, nothing.
