Soundcore 2 pause duration

Hi All,
just bought our first Soundcore speaker, the Soundcore 2. Love it, the sound quality is far more than I had hoped and it connects in super quick time and works really well on phone calls. The only problem we are having is the pause facility.

If you hit the Play/Pause button on top of the Soundcore, it only pauses for about 5 seconds and then starts playing again.

Is it meant to pause indefinitely until play is hit again please?

Hi @sbooder , are you long or short pressing the play/pause button and what device are you using for audio source?

Using former method of long will be trying to use your smart assistant, which if no response is given will revert back to playing music etc after around 5-6 second.

If you are doing the latter of a short press, it should remain on pause until pressed again. If this is not the case, try a fresh pairing of your device with the speaker (forget and then pair) to see if this resolves the issue.

Just a thought…

Do you use a purchased or non-generic, music player?

I do (power amp) and one of the deep settings, is controlling how.long pauses are… Quick/temp pause for notifications, or permanent pause after phone call etc.
