RoboVac 30C Gets Very Close to Charging Base, Then Misses

I recently replaced a side brush motor and gear assembly in my RoboVac 30C. The replacement works great. Now however, when returning to the charging base it gets very close and then hits it off center, pushes the base around then backs off and retries. It is not able to dock successfully. As I remember it used to get within a few inches of the front of the dock and slow way down to move in and dock. I does not slow down now for the last few inches.
I’m assuming that my disassembly and re-assembly may have caused the problem. I’ve taken it apart again and cannot see any obvious loose wires. Where should I look? Which sensor could be the culprit?

Try resetting if you haven’t already

If it works properly after your assembling your repair work is not the reason of this problem.
Try to reset (unplug the battery)
Have you tried to locate the charging base at another place?
