It’s already being sold, so hopefully it doesn’t need beta testing now!

30W PD port + 18W PowerIQ 2.0 port + 12W PowerIQ 1.0 port. Still waiting on PowerCore+ II introduced at IFA last year…Also anticipating an upgraded PowerCore Fusion, a 26800 portable charger with 2 USB-C ports and 3 USB-A ports, along with several other charging products introduced back in January at CES to be released soon.

I plugged this into my Samsung Chromebook Plus and it’s charging the wrong way. The laptop is charging the battery instead of the other way around.

Anyone know how to fix that?

Turn on the power bank before you plug in in to your laptop.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Turn it on? When I use it for my phone, I just plug it in and it works. Wasn’t aware it had to be turned on.

I’m traveling and do not have the instructions with me - how do I turn it on? I’ve tried holding the button, or double clicking, or whatever and it still charges wrong way.

edit: my phone is a Galaxy s8+, so it is using usb-c to usb-c, same port I would use for the laptop charging.

I’m not exactly sure as I do not have one to test and the manual doesn’t say anything about it but that was the trick with previous type c power banks. Just play with the power button single click/double click hold down for 2 or 3 seconds to see what works to charge your laptop instead or your laptop charging the power bank. Sorry I couldn’t give you a more definitive answer.

You can find the manual in the downloads section.

Yeah I had the manual pulled up after I replied and there is NO help in that thing… haha

You need to press the power button before plugging in any cables or devices. This way it triggers the battery mechanism to charge the device instead of drawing power from said device

I click the button.
The lights go around in a circle and go out.
I plug my phone in - phone charges.

Same process.
Plug my laptop in. Battery charges instead of laptop.

At this point, you’ll want to reach out to support@anker.com, tell them your situation, and see if they can provide you any more instructions. Sounds really strange to me as typically one quick click of the button before plugging in will do the trick.

As @elmo41683 mentioned please make sure that nothing is plugged into power bank beforehand that includes any wires.

Also once you resolve the situation please share your solution with the community members so we can be more knowledge and helpful in the future.

If the lights go out then it’s not working as it suppose to. Try plugging a USB c to USB a cable into the usbc port and the other end into the USB a port and let the device reset itself. Then unplug everything, press the power button and quickly plug the cable in from your laptop to the batterypack. It should now be charging up the laptop instead of taking charge from it. If all else fails, reach out to support for additional help

Tried the reset thing to no avail.

The plot thickens…

I have a j5 create JCA374 hub. You plug into the laptop USB-C and then you plug the normal USB-C wall charger into the j5 hub and it passes the power thru and adds 2 USB-A ports, and hdmi port, and an ethernet port to your laptop.

When I plug in the hub with the powercore+ plugged in - it charges the laptop like it’s supposed to.

So, I have a workaround for me and I don’t have to send this thing back to Amazon. Hurray!

@AnkerTechnical @AnkerOfficial should be in the office soon and will provide you with a solution

@AnkerOfficial
Feel free to send this for the replacement of the one that was stolen from outside my door… You never got a signature did you?
